The Redwater Community Foundation
(RCF) provides funds for
community needs and projects within McCone
County and the surrounding area. RCF's
vision is to help maintain
healthy, safe and economically sustainable communities that are vibrant
places to work, live and play. RCF supports projects that
provide a direct benefit to local area residents, that address important
unmet needs, and that receive backing from the community.
RCF is a permanent fund, known as an endowment from which the principal can never be spent. Earnings from the endowment will be used every year to help meet the needs of our entire community. By contributing to the RCF, you have ensured that your gift will grow and continue to give every year to the community. It can be looked at as an
annual gift that will continue to give forever. Anything of value can be given to the RCF and there are many tax benefits that a
donor can receive. The Redwater Community Foundation is affiliated with the Montana Community Foundation
(www.mtcf.org/), which has professional staff to help donors with specific questions.

NEWS UPDATE
04/20/10~
We
received $2,500 in grant funding from the Montana
Community Foundation to be used to help renovate and revitalize the Town
of Circle’s municipal park. The RCF, with the help of VISTA member Erika
Power, were instrumental in collaborating with the City Council to
develop a strategic plan that would be used to improve the current
conditions of the park. Thus far, the funds have purchased paint, paint
supplies, snacks, and other miscellaneous items in the efforts to remove
the cactus, to paint the shelters and outhouses, and to make the park
more hospitable and inviting.
1/2/09~
RCF has now raised over $30,000 for its permanent fund. In addition, another $20,000 has been raised and given to help worthy causes in the community. Tax credits are available to businesses who donate an “outright gift”. Qualified businesses can receive a tax credit against Montana state income tax liability in the amount of 20% of the present value of any planned gift to a permanent endowment of a Montana charity up to a maximum of $10,000 per year per taxpayer. This applies to any corporation, small business corporation, partnership or limited liability company.
